Looking for a bedtime story for your little? Here’s a wee excerpt from today’s new April Eight Songs & Stories episode, Little Star’s Story.
“And she knew that she, Little Star, could be this child’s friend. She sent a message from her star heart all the way down to Earth, to this small person so far far away, that said,
“I am your friend. I am your Little Star.’”
This story feels like a wonderful sleepytime snuggle-up story for a cold February night.
This story came to me while I was driving. It’s funny how and when tales arrive. I never know what inspired image or idea will wander across my mind. I’m always grateful because it is so fun to play with them when they appear unannounced!
For me, driving and walking are wonderful ways to find them. As soon as something solid forms, I whip out the Voice Memo app on my iPhone so I can capture it. If I don’t get that first taste of an idea it will disappear or water down as I muse over it. Before phones were Swiss Army Knives, I used to call myself and leave song melodies and story messages when I was inspired without a pen.
